Our beloved friend and Dj Mr. Jonathan Toubin has been released from the hospital and is currently recovering in Portland, OR after being hit by taxicab in his hotel room while sleeping this past Dec 8, 2011. The tragic accident created a movement of human compassion and kindness that has touched us all. Thousands of people have come together to support Jonathan in his time of need including artists like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jon Spencer, Neil Hamburger, Ty Segall, Bleached, and Margaret Cho performing at benefits to raise money on his behalf.
Jonathan recently spoke to
Rolling Stone about his experience post the accident. Jonathan has an incredible energy that brings people together both in his regular day to day life and on the dance floor. He’s brought an amazing presence and refreshing creative force to our agency. He lives like he DJs—pushing the EQ and volume to its limit, fully defining “maximum rock and soul.” We are excited to hear that he’s on the road to recovery and look forward to announcing future New York Night Train events.
Mac Demarco supports Beach Fossils in Brooklyn
Panache Booking is thrilled to launch our new site and welcome several new additions to the roster. Mac Demarco, hailing from Canada, will be performing this spring around his debut EP on Captured Tracks. People’s Temple will be touring around their new record on Hozac. Brooklyn’s own Delicate Steve will be touring out to SXSW in preparation for their upcoming release on Luaka Bop, out this May. 2012 will be an exciting year for Panache, as we delve into new ventures to further develop our band’s careers while also creating a refreshing environment for audiences to enjoy music & art. Organizing festivals such as the Bruise Cruise, the three day tropical rock’n’roll cruise vacation that sails from Miami to the Bahamas, is simply a taste of what’s to come.
LA Weekly interviews Mikal Cronin.
As many of you may already know, a dear friend of Panache’s and one of our Artists, DJ Mr. Jonathan Toubin was in a serious accident on Dec 8, 2011 in Portland OR when an automobile crashed into his ground floor hotel room. We are deeply saddened by this truly awful incident and are asking family, friends, loved ones, colleagues to bond together to bring love and support to Jonathan Toubin for his recovery. Jonathan is one of the most talented, genuine and sweet people we have had the pleasure of working with. The amazing international outpour of support thus far is a huge reflection of this. Describing the experience of a Thee Oh Sees show is an exercise in futility, like trying to explain the vastness of the Grand Canyon to someone who has only seen it in pictures.
Propulsive, careening, and at times, openly dangerous, Thee Oh Sees are like the house band for a runaway train.
Fun Fun Fun Festival is happening this weekend from November 4-6 at Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas. We are thrilled to have Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, and Pujol performing. It is one of our favorite events to host bands at, and this year is sure to be a blast. Bruise Cruise will also be hosting a booth in the vendors area. Come say hi and pick up some free Bruiser merch!

Playing with two acts on the better side of the rock ‘n’ roll spectrum paid dividends for him in a couple ways. First, he knows his way around a melody. And second, it gives him access to Segall, Charlie Moonheart, even John Dwyer.
The title track from Goodbye Bread could be a sleeper anthem for the legions of disenfranchised, underemployed young adults who, as new census figures reveal, are among the hardest-hit by the recession.
