King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard took to their official Instagram account to share their plans to release three new albums this October. While the official release date was not revealed, the band did note that pre-orders will begin on Sept. 7 on gizzverse.com.
The prolific Australians King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard have unveiled a slate of 2020 tour dates in the United States and Canada. The dates fall between their previously announced 3-hour marathon sets at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Calif. on Apr. 18 and at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 5 and 6.The new dates begin the day after their Greek Theatre marathon show on Apr. 19 in Portland, Ore. and will conclude on May 2 at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia, right before the band heads to Morrison, Colo. for their marathon sets at Red Rocks. Other highlights include a set of two dates in Canada – Apr. 27 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto and Apr. 28 at the Olympia in Montreal – followed by a visit to the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Apr. 30. Leah Senior will join the band as support during this set of shows.An artist pre-sale for tickets begins on Dec. 11 at 12 p.m. ET, and the general on-sale begins Dec. 13 at 12 p.m. ET. After following up their proper U.S. debut at New York City’s CMJ music marathon in 2014 with a two-album effort the following year, Australian psych rockers King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard returned last month with Nonagon Infinity, a fuzzed-out explosion that serves as almost the exact opposite of last year’s all-acoustic Paper Mâché Dream Balloon.
